Do I need to wire anything into my wall?
No wiring is needed for our rechargeable motors or external battery packs.
Mains-powered motors will require access to a power outlet.
How long does the battery last?
Most rechargeable motors last around 4–6 months per charge, depending on usage and window size.
For roller shutters, due to the heavier weight and higher torque required, charging is typically needed 2–3 times per month. To reduce charging frequency, you can add our external solar panel as a backup charging option – ideal for maintaining power with minimal effort.
How do I charge the motor?
Charging is as simple as charging a phone – most motors use a USB Type-C cable. The charging port is typically located at the motor end of the head rail. For hard-to-reach windows or blinds, we provide an extension charging cable to make access easier.
Can I use my phone to control the blinds?
Yes, with the Wynmotion Smart Home System, you can control your blinds, curtains, awnings and roller shutters via our Wynmotion app.
It also supports voice control via:

And integrates with a wide range of smart home platforms:

Can I use a remote control and the app together?
Yes. You can pair both a remote and the Smart Hub with the same motor.
Can I schedule my blinds to open and close automatically?
Yes. Through the Wynmotion app, you can create timed schedules to automatically open or close your blinds at specific times of day.
Alternatively, our 5-channel remote with built-in timer function also allows you to set opening and closing times without needing the app. It’s a great option for those who prefer simple, app-free automation.
Can I add a motor to my existing blind?
Our motorised systems are designed to work with specific Wynstan tracks and components, so retrofitting to existing blinds isn’t supported.
However, if you purchase a new motorised Wynstan product, it can be added to your existing Wynmotion remote, allowing you to control different types of products, such as curtains and awnings, from a single remote.
The blind isn’t moving – what should I check?
- Make sure the battery is charged
- Check the remote battery or app signal
- If the motor is overheated, wait and try again

Do I need one remote per blind?
No. Our multi-channel remotes can control multiple blinds. You can also group blinds for convenient operation.
I have more than 30 motors in my home. Can the app still handle it?
Yes. Each Wynmotion Smart Home System (Smart Hub) can pair with up to 30 motors.
If you have more than 30, you can add additional Smart Hubs under the same account. You can also invite multiple family members to control the system through the app, ideal for larger homes or households with more users.
