Retractable Automatic Awnings
Retractable automatic awnings are a self-sufficient, highly durable, cost-effective and versatile option for any home or business. These can be tailored and custom-made to fit virtually any preferences and needs.
Retractable awnings can be installed over windows and doors in a variety of shapes and sizes, with fabrics that include choices like acrylic, sunscreen, and canvas. And not only will they offer privacy but they will also regulate your inside temperatures, regardless of the external weather conditions.
We offer two types of automatic awnings: the Standard automatic awning, which allows for a range of arm sizes—150, 300, 450, or 600mm—and the System 2000 automatic awning, which enables the arms to be custom cut to any size.
Automatic awnings are easy to operate as they have hand-operation, and can be raised or lowered to stop at any desired point with self-locking arms. They also include a head box that protects the roller mechanism, ensuring that you never have an issue with releasing your awning.
Canopy Awnings
Designed primarily to shelter those entering your doorway, canopy awnings bring a touch of European charm and a sense of character and style to your home. From Eyelid Canopy’s to Fixed, Ellipse, Fixed Triangular, Dutch and Serene, there are many style options that will suit any preferences. Additionally, you can select trims that are either flat or scalloped to further customise your look.
Available in various shapes and colours, Wynstan’s canopy awnings are an excellent choice for restaurants, front door entrances, or any business with an outdoor area requiring year-round protection from the elements.
Folding Arm Awnings
Providing shade for areas up to 10 metres in length, folding arm awnings are an ideal addition to homes that frequently host outdoor gatherings. Customisable to meet your specific outdoor needs, these awnings are wall-mounted to keep ropes and posts out of the way, enhancing safety and convenience for families with children.
When not in use, the awning retracts neatly against the wall, preserving your space’s aesthetics and usability. Wynstan offers two types of folding arm awnings. The Semi–Cassette model can be installed under eaves or ceiling-mounted, providing extra protection for the chosen fabric against the weather and ensuring durability—perfect for cities like Melbourne and Sydney with unpredictable climates.
The Full-Cassette option is excellent for large patios, poolside areas or outdoor terraces, fully enclosing the fabric when retracted to offer maximum protection. Both styles can be operated by a crank handle, but for added convenience and reliability, consider automating your awnings. Automated systems equipped with wind and sun sensors allow the awnings to retract automatically, and they can be integrated with your home automation system for enhanced security and protection.
Straight Drop Awning
Wynstan’s straight drop awnings are versatile systems that can be installed anywhere around your property, from outdoor entertaining terraces to the exterior of a window. These awnings run at a 90-degree angle straight to the ground, enhancing privacy and protection.
You can select from a wide variety of materials, including acrylic or canvas fabrics, or opt for sunscreen fabric that offers sun and heat protection. You can even choose to have them installed in clear PVC plastics, to protect yourself and your guests from the weather without obstructing your view. These awnings are available in three different styles and can also be automated for added convenience.
The first style is the Standard Straight Drop Awning, which operates without posts or channels and secures at the base when retracted. The second option is the Cable Guide Channel Awning, which features discreet metal cables along the sides for added durability and temperature resistance. The most robust option is the Zip Channelling Awning, where the fabric is held into the channels via an internal zip, ensuring stability and protection even in strong winds.
Fixed Steel Awning
Fixed steel awnings not only add style to your property but are also a great addition for those who regularly entertain outdoors. Especially suitable for large cosmopolitan cities such as Melbourne and Sydney, these awnings provide comfort and protection from the summer heat to the winter chill.
Customisable to meet specific needs, they can be angled from 15 to 45 degrees. For larger installations, our experts may recommend adding a post for enhanced stability.
